Provision for Pupils with Special Needs

Children of all abilities may require support at some time to ensure they receive an education appropriate to their age, aptitude and ability. Every effort is made to allow children to experience educational success and feel valued by fostering a positive attitude to children with physical, emotional, learning and behavioural difficulties. The school has a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator who liaises with Parents, Teachers, Learning Support Assistants, External Education and Health Agencies and North Tyneside Pupil Services to meet the requirements of the Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We have a detailed leaflet explaining SEN provision in our school. Please ask for a copy at the office.

Any parent who has any concerns about their child’s progress can discuss these with the class teacher, Headteacher or SENCO, who can be contacted informally through the school office.
