‘Careers at Woodlawn
should be fun, for all and for life’

'Students at Woodlawn are supported by a high-quality careers programme. This includes work experience and making connections with local employers'  OFSTED Report, May 2024

🏆 Woodlawn School Achieves the Quality in Careers Standard 🏆

We are delighted to announce that Woodlawn School has achieved the Quality in Careers Standard, fully meeting all accreditation criteria and incorporating the Gatsby Benchmarks. This prestigious national award recognises the quality, breadth and impact of our careers provision and reflects our commitment to ensuring that every student is prepared for their future aspirations.

Following a successful Phase 2 Assessment for Implementation and Impact, assessors recognised both the strength of our current provision and our commitment to continuous improvement. The assessment celebrated the wide range of opportunities available to our students, including employer encounters, work-related learning, personalised guidance and support with successful transitions into adulthood.

As a result, Woodlawn School has been recognised as:

"Nationally assessed as achieving the Quality in Careers Standard, fully meeting all the accreditation criteria incorporating the Gatsby Benchmarks."

This achievement means that Woodlawn School will feature on the National Register of Award Holders - Quality in Careers and is authorised to use the Quality in Careers logo.

We are incredibly proud of this recognition and would like to thank our staff, students, families, employers and community partners who contribute to making careers education at Woodlawn both meaningful and aspirational. This award celebrates our belief that careers at Woodlawn should be fun, for all and for life, and provides a strong foundation for future development.
